Holiday Waste Guide: Can I recycle string lights?

No! You cannot recycle string lights. In the same way, you cant recycle plastic/garbage bags, plastic film, clothing/towels, cords, ropes, hoses, wires, chains, blinds cords, and metal hangers.
These items will wrap around the machinery, requiring an employee to climb in and cut it off to continue the recycling process. It is a dangerous process and wastes a lot of time that could be recycling!
