Morton Road

Cabot-Robbins-Morton HouseMorton Road was laid through the former Morton-Safford Estate. The house, seen on the left, is the Robbins-Cabot-Morton House, which is an impressive three story Federal house that was built c.1798; the house had Colonial Revival details added in the early twentieth century as well as an impressive fence with urn surmounted piers. On the right is the Hayward-Gilbert House, which was designed by local architect Edwin J. Lewis, Jr. and built in 1910 at 86 Morton Road. On the far right, facing Morton road, is the Dwight Evans House, which was designed by Eliot T. Putnam and built in 1924 at 50 Canton Avenue.
