SELECTMEN’S MEETING MONDAY, MAY 12, 2008 6:00 P.M.
In attendance: Kathryn A. Fagan, John M. Shields, Kathryn A. Fagan, Kevin J. Mearn, Town Administrator, Paula Rizzi, Executive Secretary
1. The Chairman called the meeting to order.
2. Marion V. McEttrick moved, Kathryn A. Fagan seconded and the Board voted with Marion V. McEttrick voting yes and Kathryn A. Fagan voting yes to enter Executive Session for the purpose of discussing litigation and to investigate charges of criminal misconduct and to return to Open Session to complete agenda business and to attend Town Meeting.
3. The Board discussed Article 12.
4. John M. Shields moved, Marion V. McEttrick seconded and the Board voted to sign and send a letter to Governor Patrick encouraging him to submit special legislation to the General Court to authorize the Town, to borrow money for the next five years to fund payments of medical expenses incurred by Public Safety personnel resulting from injuries sustained in the line of duty.
5. The Board confirmed its next meeting to be May 22, 2008.
6. The Board met with the Warrant Committee at 7:00 p.m. and discussed Article 43 (Modification of Canton/Milton Water Agreement) and the aforementioned correspondence addressed to the Governor.
7. Town Meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
