CONSTRUCTION OR DEMOLITION MATERIALS
Surplus material from small home remodeling projects can be disposed of as trash on your regular trash day if the total weight of the material is less than 40 pounds and the size of the material is four feet or less in length. Larger amounts will be rejected.
Residents should bundle these materials and place one $3 sticker on each bundle. The DPW asks that residents remove all nails from the material they put out. Residents are also asked not to put out more than two bundles on any one trash day.
The Building Materials Resource Center in Boston will take good quality used materials including: flooring; doors; windows; kitchen & bathroom materials; and lumber. For more information, call (617) 442-8917 or visit their web site at www.bostonBMRC.org.
