The Milton Board of Health is pleased to announce it’s participation in the” Keep Mercury From Rising” mercury recovery program (http://www.keepmercuryfromrising.org). We currently are able to accept and safely dispose of fever and laboratory thermometers, thermostats, button cell batteries, blood pressure units, barometers, and mercury switches. These items can be brought to the Board of Health office during normal business hours. While supplies last, we
will be providing one new digital thermometer for residents who bring in mercury thermometers for disposal (one per household). In addition, the DPW is accepting fluorescent and compact fluorescent light bulbs at the recycling center the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM - Noon. Please visit http://www.townofmilton.org/Public_Documents/MiltonMA_Recycling/DPW_Recycling_Center for more information.
