The Milton Board of Health and the Milton Police Department are please to announce the availability of a Drug Collection Kiosk. The kiosk is permanently located at the Milton Police Station, 40 Highland Street, and is available 24/7/365.
You can protect your children and the environment by dropping off any unwanted medicines, including those for pets. By dropping off your unused medication you lower the risk of substance abuse in Milton. For example, studies show that youth can begin a lifetime of drug addiction by simply opening the home medicine cabinet and using substances non-medically. Prescription drugs such as OxyContin®, Percocet®, Vicodin®, Lortab®, oxycodone, morphine, and codeine have all been linked to addiction. Many over-the-counter medications, such as cough medicines, can also be non-medically used. Plus, proper disposal of substances are vital to protect human health and the environment from potential hazards in our water supply. You should
NEVER flush medicines down the toilet.
The MedReturn kiosk is open to all Milton residents. There is no charge and no questions will be asked. The MedReturn Drug Collection Return Kiosk was obtain in collaboration with Impact Quincy, a program of Bay State Community Services, Inc., through funding from the MA Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services.
