How to dispose of latex-based paint or latex-based driveway sealer:

Latex is not a hazardous because it is a water-based product. If you have latex paint or latex driveway sealer that is still in liquid form, remove the lid and add kitty litter or a product like Speedi Dri to absorb the liquid in the can. Once it turns to a solid, place the lid back on and dispose of the can in the regular trash. You can also use a commercial paint hardener purchased from local hardware stores to dry out the contents. Latex -based paint and latex-based driveway sealer are not accepted at household hazardous waste events.
