Permit Requirements Sheet

THE BUILDING COMMISSIONER WILL REVIEW
APPLICATIONS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
       8:30 - 10:00
 OR BY APPOINTMENT


When you submit your Building Permit Application, the following MUST be attached;

For roofing, siding, window and door replacement, and minor alterations, please use the abbreviated application form.

All other projects:



a.  Two sets of plans. (one full size, one reduced to 11" x 17" )

b.  A certified plot plan must be provided unless waived by the Building Commissioner.

c.  The fee for the Building Permit is $12.00 per thousand of the estimated cost.  Fees for
    applications requiring review will be accepted after review is complete.
    All fees must be paid by check/money order -NO CASH-

d. If you applied for a Special Permit or a Variance, provide proof of recording  of
   decision at Norfolk County Registry of Deeds in Dedham, MA.

e. Proof of Workers’ Compensation must be provided. This is part of the application.

f.  Provide positive I.D. (MA Drivers' License or CSL with photo is accetable).

g.  Provide your Construction Supervisor License.

h.  Provide your Home Improvement Registration where applicable.

i.   Copy of contract signed by both (all) parties.

j.  Dig safe number if the project involves any excavation.

k.  For demolitions, speak to inspector for specifics.
