Town of Milton to Conduct Sewer Infiltration Rehabilitation
The Town of Milton has contracted All State Power Vac, Inc., to conduct Infiltration and Inflow (I/I) rehabilitation on portions of its sanitary sewer system. All State Power Vac will be working in the vicinity of Edge Hill Road, Granite Avenue, Adams Street, Thacher Street, Truro Lane, and Brook Road. Work will begin on October 11, 2005 and continue until January 31, 2006. All State Power Vac will be working Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
This work is being conducted as part of Milton’s Yearly I/I Reduction Program. The purpose of this work is to remove sources of groundwater entering the sanitary sewer. By removing this extra flow, Milton will reduce the amount of wastewater it sends to the MWRA, thereby reducing MWRA flow-related charges to the Town.
All State Power Vac vehicles are white and have the company name on the sides in blue. Personnel will be wearing shirts with All State Power Vac markings and will be mostly seen investigating sewer manholes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Milton Engineering Department at (617) 898-4868.
