Milton Improving Emergency Evacuation Plans
To better assist you in an emergency, we are asking all residents with a disability and all frail elders who might need assistance leaving their residence in an emergency or in the event of a disaster to assist us in assisting you.
What you need to do: Contact the Milton Police Department at 617-698-3800 and give the Police:
Your name
Your phone number
The type of impairment you have: i.e. Mobility, Sensory, Cognitive, Inability to drive or Frailty.
THIS INFORMATION IS CONFIDENTIAL AND STORED IN THE EMERGENCY 911 COMPUTER DATA BASE.
The information will only come up when a 911 call is placed from your phone number. In the event of a need to evacuate residents due to a disaster, the Watch Commander can access the database to obtain a list of residents who may need special assistance to be safely evacuated to an area of safety.
Please take this important step to insure your safety today!
Help us provide you with the appropriate help you may need in an emergency.
